RNandCAWLS will grace The Dungeon on April 29
Toronto, ON – 23/04/2012 – For the past two months, Revel Theatre Collective has worked with the overarching goal of bringing together diverse elements of the improv community in a superlative and scintillating show. The April 29th edition of its Sunday night improv showcase Piece of Garbage Sex Dungeon: A Night of Sophisticated Comedy is the fruit of that labour. The night features a mixed bag of improvisers from the Impatient Theatre Co., Bad Dog Theatre and Second City.
The April 29th show will be hosted by the charming Eric Miinch and feature improv by solo improviser Jess Grant, Brainiac Five (Alex Baird, Deejay Dayton, Dustin Freeman, Alex James, Amanda Petryshuk) and Bad Dog Theatre (Canadian Comedy Award Nominee Julie Dumais and friends).
Headlining the night are delightful duo RN and Cawls (Rob Norman, Adam Cawley). Both have been standouts at Second City for the past several years and Canadian Comedy Award Nominees many times over. Norman and Cawley have been improvising together for over seven years and create highly cerebral and connected sets that will engage your mind from start to finish.
Every edition of Piece of Garbage Sex Dungeon: A Night of Sophisticated Comedy is capped off with an all-out totally improvised comedy jam session. At the door audience members are encouraged to put their names in a draw so they can win a chance to join the cast. Not only will they have the chance to play with some of Toronto’s hottest improvisers, winners will also get their money back from the door. It could be you!
Piece of Garbage Sex Dungeon: A Night of Sophisticated Comedy happens every Sunday at artist-run venue Unit 102 (376 Dufferin Street) located on the edge of Parkdale. Tickets are $5. After the show audience members are invited to join the cast at a nearby watering hole to keep the party going.
